I just did a clean install of openSUSE 10.3 on a new system. I'm on a
rather large network and I need to mount some Linux and Windows network
shares. It doesn't seem to behave like my other Redhat and SLES
systems.
I can mount a Windows share through the "My Computer"-like icon very
easily. (e
Fixed. Apparently, I have to manually tell Suse to add the OSS
repository (as well as others) to the list of repositories to be
searched. Once I stumbled across that, suddenly, I can install
packages.

Just clean-installed openSUSE 10.3 on a new system. The articles about
it say that there is a C compiler in it but I can't find it. cc and gcc
are not present. Neither is make or nmake. When I try to install
software packages from the Suse 'oss' web sites using YAST, it aborts
out without error
