HI,
I found out what was causing the excess use of memory.
I have about 300.000 emails on my thunderbird, and thought it could
be too much.
When I disabled the Thunderbird backend, My problems went way.

A lot higher... My VmPeak of the beagled process was able to reach 2.1GB...
Your's was ( just ) 167MB .
Does the memory size increases along with the number of files that gets
indexed ?
