It might be University of Kent. I usually use mirror.switch.ch, but
I've seen some impressive download rates (+500kb/s) from UofKent.

What is the best mirror in Germany (or Europe) for down loading 10.2?
The best for me is usually BitTorrent. Add it into KTorrent and a
couple hours later, it's done... a good chance to experiment with it
now that you're on ADSL :-)
As for best mirror... it seems to vary, but I get great speed

Hello,
I thought you might be interested in the Metalinks for openSUSE, which are
automatically generated by one of your mirrors (http://ftp.iasi.roedu.net/)
at http://download.packages.ro/metalink/opensuse/.
Metalinks are really useful for large files like ISOs and contain all mirror

Not needed if handled properly. On the openSUSE

I doubt it. There are places that mirror with different subdirectory
structures.

Burn them on 2 DVD's and mail them if transfering 6GB of data is too much.

Well, a combination of wanting to show off our openess - and the
mirrormaintainers not wanting to mirror the same quite large repo twice (i.e.
having inst-source on both ftp.suse.com and opensuse.
Maybe another idea could be to have some kind of link from the ftp.suse.com
mirrors to the inst-source

the standard oss installation source (freeze of factory) will be on
openSUSE mirrors. And Extra, KDE-update, Misc, etc. will be on
ftp.suse.com-mirrors. I agree that it would be nice to have inst-source on
ftp.suse.com-mirrors too.

Once 10.1 final is released, are all the installation
sources, as well as the ISOs going to be available on
the regular SUSE mirrors, like they were with 9.3? God
knows they should be. Having two sets of mirrors to
install different parts of a basic SUSE Linux
installation is just plain silly. It's

Hello,
There are major problems with the US mirrors. To get the security updates
I had to try all the mirrors to get them all. I have found that I must
manaully run the update using all US mirrors to get all the patches. I
have done this 2-3 days after the announcement. I would expect all
