Anyway we could have a 'Install GNOME 3' available on the bootloader
menu? For all I understood it's just adding 'liveinstall' to the
kernel boot line... This would be an elegant way...

The gnome3.org openSUSE-based live CD's do have the option for
installing when using the LiveCD (My laptop was installed this way)
It's in the Desktop folder in the linux users home directory
Of course, the 'Desktop' folder is somewhat redundant in GNOME 3,
