In the end of the day, the users will ultimately benefit from DNSSEC
Currently, DNSSEC is not supported for .IM-based domains because of lack
of support on the side of .IM TLD operator.

Nope, from their perspective a domain name is a domain name and you get
everything (including use of their DNS servers!). No nickle and diming
