a field
DELETED_BY that would contain the osuser performing the deletion. What do
I need to query as part of that trigger to capture that single osuser?

to discuss the issue with the consultant without totally bashing the
idea--maybe even changing the model to a hybrid (if I am lucky).
I am always interested in hearing more on this if anyone else cares to share
experiences--the more fuel, the better.

delete the datafile (at the OS level) without repercussion? Nothing
recognizes the datafile (e.g. select * from dba_data_files, OEM, TOAD).
