the Compaq name will go away. I guess running it into the ground would
take too much time so she is just going to abandon the Compaq name. They
did say they plan to keep some of the "valuable sub-brands" like Presario.

I was (and still am) a big fan of the VMS operating system. I used it
on a VAXcluster where we hosted our Oracle v5, v6 and early v7 development
environments. (clusters! what a concept!) I'm just not sure how long it
will take to get used to "HP-VMS".
