explore OEM fully. I cann't find any installation

I'm at a new site
right now and they have set up Standby environment on 9i Rel
2. The agent also is running on both the servers. They want to use the GUI
frontend of DataGuard and have OEM installed, but have not taken the final
steps of
setting up the Management Server to tie it all

You need to install it. The Console talks to a Management Server, which
in turn manages the agents and other processes that monitor the database etc.
You really oughtta read the basic installation manual. Not much, just like
the first page or two might help.

Before you install the Management Server, I recommend you build an extra
tablespace for your repository.

Just installed 9i on Unix (sun Solaris). Can you tell me how to launch
Oracle enterprise manager On Unix. I couldn't find svrmgrl. Where can I find
the document on this (i.e. major changes in 9i with respect to 8). I am
trying to find in OTN.

The only workaround I found for this was to upgrade to Win2K. Then
using the
service recovery option - so that when the service

message, and to move a copy of the resources.ora file, which exists
elsewhere, to the folder. I did this, and OMS starts cleanly now. So
