Hi,   Could you please suggest me how to corrupt a data file, for testing recovery.   I am trying to test Block Recovery with my Personal Oracle 9i on Windows Me. I am not able to open or overwrite the files because oracle.exe locks them.   Thanks, Krishna

Well yours truly is doing a 3 hr backup/reocvery presetation on a geek cruise in may(2002). Those of you who've had backup/recovery problems(more like recovery problems), if you'd like to share some of the scenarios/problems you've run into, the more bizarre the better, corrupted redo logs, etc.
