If you have access to isothiazolones like Kathon, just use a 0.05%
spray on it, no more algae for a long time.

What do you have on top of your cap mat? We remove the perforated plastic that it comes with and use a black ground cloth, never noticed any algae problems. It is steam sterilized between crops so that may be why.
