I purchased a plant a while ago that was labeled nilgherrense, but was
clearly not when it bloomed. It is easily a masdevalliaceum or blumei,
but I really don't know how to tell the difference between the two. Are
these synonyms? If not, can someone point out to me what the

In the Kew database [World checklist of selected plant families],
Bulbophyllum blumei (Lindl.) J.J.Sm. is the accepted name for the species.
Bulbophyllum masdevalliaceum Kraenzl. is considered a synonym.
