Hi y'all -
I am currently considering taking on the gargantuan and potentially
unfruitful task of hybridizing within the Maxillaria species. Also considered
are
crosses outside this genus (Cymbidiums and Lycastes, mostly).
Does anyone have any nfo or opinions considering this

With all of the discussions on virus, I was curious if anyone has had
experience with the Agdia test kits.
They are roughly the same price as sending a sample out, but the kits
appear to be simple and easy to use. I like the idea of testing a
suspect plant before re-potting.
I have used
I agree with Charles Ufford about global warming or cooling. The popular
term of global warming is really a misnomer and the term climate change
is better. The term global warming gets people focused on temperature
when as Charles points out it is about a lot more. When scientists talk
about
Gee Buzz I guess you must be anxious for the global cooling to start seeing
that today (January 7, 2008 ) there are tornadoes and tornado warnings for
your part of the country (northern Illinois).
As for Charles Ufford - thanks for your voice of reason and logic - no
pejorative name calling here.
