Reaching out to the hive mind here. I remember years ago there was a rather
simple model that when folded and laid down it would rise up as the paper
relaxed. It was triangular in shape, had these flaps on the inside that if
I recall correctly would cause the paper to rise. The recent post and

Does anyone know of a source for Harmony paper that is larger than 6 inch
(150mm)? I'm looking for any color or color combo as long as there is a
color change as you move from the center to the edge .
Thanks.

Just saw this a day ago. George Rhoads, who did origami in the 60's (to my
knowledge) and did some cool dollar origami as well has passed away.
Apparently he was also a sculptor of machines where balls would roll and
drop through intricate constructions of rails, coils and pendulums. These

Lore Schirokauer has published a $ Donkey. I'm not sure where I have
acquired the diagram from but I've had it since around 1997-8.

I'm posting this on behalf of Annie Pidel:
Does anyone know the creator of this model? The you tube site lists it as
traditional, but I wonder if that is true.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I need to notify you all of the
passing of Pat Ellis from Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Pat had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 2011 when she was
caring for her husband and it reoccurred this past

FOCA was the precursor of Origami USA. Friends of the Origami Center of
America (I believe). Now to the 1992 annual book. I find no Jumping Frog
by Mark Kennedy in that issue. The Origami database has references to
hundreds of jumping frogs. None by Kennedy. Hmmm.

Yep, the model is by Stephen Weiss. It is his $ owl (obviously). It is
diagrammed in a few places. One of them is in the OUSA annual of 1988 page
211 according to the Origami database. I think it is diagrammed in a book
by Paul Kruger on money folds as well.

The model is by Stephen Weiss and as far as I know no diagrams exist. I
have step fold pictures of it, however after having Stephen teaching it at
an OUSA convention circa 2005/6.
