The module im looking to modify is ubercart with affiliate v2.
Im trying to build a system that can track and calculate commissions for a
mlm company.

Yup, i installed affilate. all the functions i want is there, but i need
some customization work done.
in short, this is what i need:
1. administrator can set who is the referrer (similar to
e-commerce/affiliate module)
2. orders created by the admin can be added into the affiliate center. the

Solaris is also acquired by Oracle, it's called Oracle Solaris no
more Sun Solaris. Current uname shows SunOS and I believe it will
change to OracleOS soon. But I don't think OpenSolaris will become
proprietary again.

i have upgraded to ubuntu unr 10.04. it has openoffice.org 3.2 oracle (no
more mention of sun).
soon we will probably have to apt-get oracle-java6-jdk ?
maybe in 5 years time we will also have apt-get microsoft-php6 ?
