Hi Doug,
I think lawyers love OS because they are free thinkers, ie, like artists,
they like to create things, be free to do their own search and thinking. At
least that's what I took from my experience when facilitating an OS meeting
on organizational change with 150 lawyers of a national orga

THANKS, Doug, for this report. My goodness, lawyers in open space. What will
they think of next?
I used to practice law myself. I have heard it said countless times that the
legal profession might be the field most highly resistance to meaningful
dialogue, most highly resistant to any kind of org.

Dear Thomas!

Hello Marc.
My take on this, having worked with OS around the world since 1988, is that
it depends. There is no right answer. You need to trust your intuition.
Given the circumstances you describe, my feeling is that (1) it may well be

Hi dear list
Someone mailed a warning against letting loose baloons in the air. I´d like to
have contact since the city of Stockholm is planning to celebrate our national

through Z. And you can hold time and space, be fully present for that
and at the same time invisible best when you stay in the role of
facilitator. So, it might be a good idea to have just one of you four be

I echo the voices saying that this is not only possible, it can be a
good thing for the organization. I've tried this alone and also with
a partner. I felt much better with a partner. With four of you, I
would think you could all 4 be involved in breakouts without any

The issue with latex balloons, which are biodegradable, is how long they sit
around before they are released. If they are filled properly and released
right away they will soar high enough into the atmosphere to shatter into
very small pieces which will be consumed by microorganisms upon landing.
