Mr. Owen,
I've been reading all yours and everyone else's comments on the list just to
learn about OS. I participated in one about six months ago, and became very
interested in knowing more about it. I'm just wondering how a person would
get some training on it? I'm in Orange County, Southern Ca
Anytime people begin to self-certify and make an official claim out of it, it
bothers me. I think it is an unfortunate outcropping of the downsizing that
has caused the ranks of OD folks to swell with people looking to make a

the fact that trying to monopolize it goes against the
spirit of Open Space, b

Birgitt,
Please let us know how this goes. It is interesting to see Fast Company

The last group that came through a training program with me asked if they
could have some kind of certification. I haven't been doing this and I
listened to what they had to say. They said that in keeping with OS being

is a familiar name, somehow. Haven't I seen it here on our list? Can't
be sure, but thought I had.
I have always had a little difficulty with commercial organizations
certifying anything like this, but I sup

"certifying" open space practitioners may run counter to this culture, I'm
acquainted with one of the principals there and believe that he's a wise and
principled advocate and pracitioner of Open Space.
With that said, perhaps it (in
