Hello All:
On two different and recent occasions, my comments on the AOTA
president's blog concerning the recent branding campaign were not
posted. While I have no way of knowing who or even if someone is
censoring my comments, it certainly appears to be the case.

I know you are looking for a way to vent frustration. It often seems like
there is a lot of work to do with only so much energy to do it and have a
life also.
However, what exactly do want AOTA to do that they aren't doing already?
AOTA depends a lot on it's membership to volunteer to complete
. It's the same thing that AOTA tells
us to do with Congress -- write letters and make your opinion known!

frustrated with AOTA, I just have some suggestions and I

Chuck All,
Yes I have used AOTAs website to contact congress on the OT home health
issue ( law that was up but never got anywhere). Truthfully, getting
non-members to act is just as important and serves the members as well. I
really think that if congress got letters from even a quarter of
Hi Ron All,

You asked me if I am a member of AOTA.
I was for years but not now.
For the three reasons:
1. they dropped the ball when they let medicare exclude OT (the only therapy
and most functional in homes) as a qualifying skilled coverage for home
health
Thanks for expressing the concerns about AOTA. All you have to do is criticize
AOTA to get a thread going. Was wondering how the OT PT SLP shortage is
affecting the workplace where you all are living? Chris

The same survey question that was sent to the OTlist was posted to a
couple AOTA lists.
Can you believe that the Gerontology list managers have complained
because AOTA guidelines prohibit posting of surveys!
What a mess!

Hi everyone,
I am currently in a BS/MS OT program. I am in the process of preparing a presentation on standards and ethics related to the OT practice and AOTA. Besides utilizing the AOTA website for information, does anyone know of resources or other websites related to OT which may be helpful?
