I have a similar problem (Win2003, MSSQL 2005). I traced it down to the settings of the DefaultCharset. I guess you use utf-8. Try iso-5589-1 instead. It would be helpful for me, to eliminate the OS and DB as possible reasons for this behaviour. It is not helpful, because our database charset

Thorsten and Tim, thanks a lot for your reply! I have made a rule to automaticly forward the mail to a backup mailadress, adn this works fine. I have also tried to remove the line in the PostmasterPOP3.pl, OTRS then leaves the mail in the mailbox, but now every time the script runs, the same

I tried ps -aux and pop isn't listed anywhere. It's only in the process_id table, and if I manually delete it just puts it back and gives the same error. I checked the user credentials and they are correct. I can't under stand how they can break such a simple feature with a new release
