I don't think this is a good idea, because notes are part of the history documentation
of a case, by giving the user the posibility to edit notes afterwards you give him a
tool to fake the history.

I told about a week or two ago here in the list that we will set up a statistics
project and deliver it to the original otrs crew. I just put your request into our
concept. If you can wait a month or two you get it in order to avoid duplicate work ;-)

we also discussed the statistics some weeks ago with Martin Edenhofer and we think we
will enhance the statistics part in the next weeks and contribute our work to the OTRS
