Can i change my systemid in a working and running OTRS System or will this break something? If i get it right, the systemid (by default 10) can be changed. But if i communicate with a other otrs system, then its very likly, that it will have the same systemid. Is there no way to set my own prefix

Actually, you can use the TicketHook for this. By default, this is Ticket#, but you can also change this to be ML# or something specific to your company. Even if the SystemID is the same as another company's; if the Ticket Hook is different you will not have difficulties. Of course, when people
