Hi Felix,
You might want to check out bug#4122 in the Bugzilla.
http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4122
It is a known issue, but there is a dirty workaround available.

I get that too. I have aspell setup however I do not
have the definitions installed for english (stupid
thing wouldn't install). I never bothered to work on
this as it isn't a high priority. Make sure aspell is
working correctly.

Hi,
Using 1.2.2-CVS, it appears that the spell checker adds line breaks after
each line in the message once checking is completed. This makes editing the
e-mail afterwards difficult without having to reformat the line breaks. Is
there a way to have the spell checker send back the text without the
Thanks Martin, It works.
I'll post my minor modifications with the "force spell check before send",
as I am not too familiar with CVS, etc.

I tried to understand the flow of the spell checking, but failed miserably.
I am no perl god, and this is a fairly complex program.
Thanks for OTRS and the help!

Hi,
I tried it with both ispell and aspell, and they both seems to cause the
same behavior:
The spell checker window open, shows the message and reports that there are

I even replaced the aspell image with a script, and the script doesn't seem
to execute at all.

We couldn't configure aspell to work, but using ispell, things work just
fine.
Is there anything wrong with the 'aspell' option for spell checking, or is
this just me?
