Basically, Caching wins
Owserver is free
Remote is fast
Serial is slower.

version.h is indeed made during the make.
What seems to happen with the patched version is that it requires
version.h while it is building fuse, which seems to be before it has

Isn't one of the serial ports allocated to the kernel-console by
default? I'm not sure about it when using the WRT54G router, but
it's worth making sure it's not the case.
BTW: Do you use the latest owfs_wrt54g-firmware-1.0 ?
