Page 5 of the datasheet ( http://datasheets.maximintegrated.com/en/ds/DS9490-DS9490R.pdf) has a schematic including the DS9503 diode that might be a problem. On the other hand, it's probably not worth your time chasing this down, rather than just buying another 9490R. This doesn't seem to be too
