Yes, you can attend if you are not an
ABA/LRC member. I think that there is a member vs non-member price, though.

Hi, I’m new to the ozmid list. I am a midwife, currently working casually at Gosford Hospital and planning to IBLC exam in July. I have 3 kids and love living
on the Central Coast of NSW. It’s been great lurking and reading all your
informative posts.
I thought that I’d answer this one
I just received this email from my sister telling me about a family
friend that has just had a baby...
'Just thought you'd be interested to know that XXX baby's full name
is 'Angel Ventouse'! Literally because that's what they used to get her
out! How bizarre!'
Takes all types, doesn't it!!??
I was given this link a while ago and found it interesting reading.

Title: What the Pollies are offering Midwifery?
Justine,
Thanks
for creating an interesting discussion just prior to election
day. It has certainly been food for thought, as I would have otherwise
been unaware of the workings of politics.
Tomorrow will certainly be interesting!!!
Cath
Good Luck tomorrow Carolyn.

The following is a bit of shameless advertising for a seminar to be held
in Feb 2005, with Sue Cox. It should be a great day and is aimed at
health professionals. If you want more info and a copy of a registration
form, email me privately and I will send to you via email or snail mail.

Thanks for posting the story. I had been
wondering what was happening to all the women needing midwifery care in these
places. The story gave no indication if there are any aid groups providing
midwifery care. From the news it seems that the focus of medical/nursing care
is emergency/trauma
few weeks back.

Hi Julie,
I really like the way you have put this. I really believe that the damage
to our family units and the greater community, by being rigid with parenting
routines, makes for an unhealthy pattern of interpersonal relationships. We

Again, Julie I like the way you have worded the options for 3rd stage.
Nicely put with no sense of swaying a mother from what she might really want
to have happen.

supportive collegue) of a physiological 3rd stage with the birt

Where is she in NSW, Australia?
It may be difficult for her to gain midwife led care as a non-resident of
Australia because she has private health cover and she would need to follow
the private health lines.
