Hi Guys,
At one client set up.. SharePoint search does not return any results for
anonymous users.
When I am logged in. it does seem to work fine.
Please advise what to look for troubleshooting

SharePoint's security trimmers will automatically remove results that a user
does not have access to. If you don't have any content available for anonymous
users, then the behaviour your experiencing is correct.
Are there any other content sources that are being searched? i.e. Is it just
