PIL and pass it
to the SuperBuild as system python installation. Is my assumption correct? Or

A simple question: my incentive is to manipulate images using PIL in a pvbatch
script. At the time being, I am writing the images to file in PNG format and
reading the file again from disc using PIL. I have found out that the
underlying image writing is performed by the vtkPNGWriter class

I have been having similar issue when compiling ParaView 5.1.2 from source with
QT4 support, which depends on the fontconfig project.
I could get rid of it by setting FONTCONFIG_PATH to /etc/fonts on my system.

ParaView v5.1.2. My main purpose is to make use of ParaView with software
rendering in a clustered environment without GPU and, as such, I have been
going through my small benchmark on a generic F1 car.

I recompiled Paraview-v5.0.0-rc2 from scratch using OpenMPI v1.6.5 and GCC
v4.7.2 on my workstation.
The QT & Python versions are the default system versions and are resp. 4.8.4 &
2.7.3.
After successful compilation and installation, I start 8 parallel pvserver
instances with:
same build, since I am starting both
server and client from the same command line on the (Linux) workstation, hence
I am using the same environement.

IMHO, the issue is that you need to tell the NVIDIA driver that a screen will
be connected at any time to the GPU, but you need to supply the driver with the
screen data via a custom EDID file, like so in your xorg.conf file:

wrapped based on another type of representation
Can you try: Filters - Extract Surface, then Filters-Feature Edges and see if

OpenFOAM reader. Just create in your case directory an empty OF.foam file and

It does not work with OSMesa. Tried it already. But it shall work with a proper
GPU. If I recall it correctly, there was some information flying around in this
forum about which type of GPU is needed.

I think this has to do with the variable PARAVIEW_INSTALL_THIRD_PARTY_LIBRARIES
which is set to ON by default. You could try to switch it off and see if it
fixes the issue.

We use paraview3.10.0 and messa7.7.1 with mpi support. It does work.
