Dear all,
In earlier versions there was Apply Texture in Display tab. I cannot see
this in 3.98.1. Where can I find it? Or is it changed to something else?

You might try to run the script below to see if your image quality is good
enough to use vtkGL2PSExporter
rw=GetActiveView().GetRenderWindow()
exp=paraview.vtk.vtkInstantiator.CreateInstance('vtkGL2PSExporter')
exp.SetRenderWindow(rw)
exp.SetDrawBackground(0)
exp.SetSortToSimple()
With 3.10.0 on windows just works fine. If in 'Edit Color Map' Resolution is
2 and you still see only 2 colors then there might be something
wrong which I don't know unfortunately.
Good luck!

I have both paraview 3.4 and CVS version, of course in separate folders. I
think you should be able to install independently. When you are generating
the codes using cmake, you better use different folder. Then you can run

One possible reason may be the different order of the data.
Looks like your original data stored in the order (Row major format):
for i=
for j=
for k=
But paraview is reading as (Column major format):
