since the server receives the initial call from the paraview, why wouldn't
it get a response from the paraview later as mentioned above??

Hi all,
successfully compiled PV 3.4.0 in a quad core machine and a normal linux
desktop.
however, when i tried to start the parallel pvserver, there were some errors
showing up in the konsole (i used manual startup)

just would like to know whether what's the difference with "build shared
library" = ON;
and when it's turned OFF?? (during ccmake)

i can't start the pvserver when involving 2 machines.
192.168.0.16 = 64bit dual core
192.168.0.10 = 32bit quad core
Anyone faced this before?
