Not directly supported but there's a workaround... Write what you want using any tool able to save the text as image (png, tiff). Load the image in ParaView and translate, scale, rotate to put the "text" in the desired position. ...it's hard, but possible ;oP []'s Renato On Fri, Sep 4, 2009 at

Unfortunately, not yet. Are you interested in using greek letters in the annotations? -berk On Fri, Sep 4, 2009 at 11:02 AM, Rafael Pacheco wrote: > > Can greek letters be used (or are used) in paraview text? > Thanks! > rafael > ___ > Powered by www.k

I'd suggest putting this in paraview.uservoice.com. I would be interested to see how many people are interested in this feature. -berk On Mon, Sep 7, 2009 at 5:54 AM, Ricardo Reis wrote: > On Fri, 4 Sep 2009, Berk Geveci wrote: > >> Unfortunately, not yet.  Are you interested in using greek lette

I would change that a bit. The ability to use Latex is not the main issue here. Rather, it is the ability to use symbols and other unicode characters as well as (possibly) the ability to typeset equations. Whether this is entered as Latex or MathML or something else is more of an implementation det

There is already for a bug for unicode support. http://www.paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7397 utf-8 is the most natural extension of ascii as codes 0-127 are encoded as normal ascii. If there is an eps driver for paraview, the Latex package, psfrag, can be used to substitute equations for text. O

I think that UTF-8 support is the low hanging fruit, since you are getting all the i18n characters which QT already supports. Beyond superscripts and subscripts, typesetting is a much larger effort, and is best handled by external tools by post processing the images. Juan On Sun, Sep 13, 2009 at
