Hi, Marie, go to preferences with control p, and then from the
tree-view, select plugins, and then input, and then tab over to the
list, and select the first one, the mp3 encoder, and then tab to the
configure button, and press the space bar, upon which you'll be in a
tab control, and you should be
Hi, Gang.
I'm having a bit of a problem listening to online broadcasts through Winamp. I have a
dialup connection and the stream often starts and stops when I am listening. Is there
any way to fine-tune Winamp 2.90 so that the breakup would stop? The broadcast seems
to skip as well a little
No, that's OK, Lin. I fixed the problem. My mind, as usual, worked ahead
of me, even though I don't understand it. It's working the way it did
before I goofed it up. I just ungoofed it and there it is.

Hi David.
There are many multi-channel cards available today. I'd recommend
SoundBlaster from Creative; in particular, the Audigy or Audigy 2. It's
also possible to get an external sound card that you can connect via USB. A
number of listers are using the SoundBlaster Extigy which is such a car
Marco, I have a Veronica, and I did not have to do any of this, I just
plugged in and away you go. You should be able to plug into any sound source.

You can go into the volume set up on your task tray, and in the advanced
settings, there should be a check box either checked or not checked for
digital output only. If you uncheck it, you will probably lose the audio on
your speakers, but it will play on your transmitter, and in a headset as
well

Hi Folks,
Nice to be back on the old list. Does anybody know if the iriver HD
recorders/players are accessible please? My Understanding is that through
the line-in, or the onboard mic the default file format is mp3. It would
be nice to record straight to .wav, but mp3 will suffice give
Hi,
I think you can only make audio cds from within Winamp pro. There may
be some plugin, but I've never seen any means of producing a data cd
in Winamp pro.

I've been experimenting with Audacity 1.2.1 for the past couple of weeks. A few
questions:
1. I haven't been able to find or figure out a way to select only a portion of a sound
track (rather than all of it, with control-a), how can I do this using just the
keyboard? Add to this, apparently the
Hi listers
I am using Window Eyes 4.5 demo and a sound card to hear it through. I can only hear
the screen reader _or_ audio at the same time, not both. I understand there is
something called a "multi channel" sound card, what is this, are they commonly
available? What about multi channel cards
