nero, file convertion question

Hi folks, I tried to convert some wave files to mp3 using Nero. I'm not sure of the version but it may be 5.5. I got a message that my mp3 pro version had expired. there didn't seem to be any alternative formats to mp3 pro. In the past though, I've had no problems in converting. Ive used
