I'd take a look at the MDS-JE640, which isn't manufactured anymore, but
should be available via Ebay.

is desirable but not mandatory.
If such a thing exists, I hope to find something

Hi Randy,
Go into the volume control, and then the properties from the file menu.
Then arrow down to adjust volume for recording.
enter on the okay button, and then adjust the volume of your line-in, and
make sure the checkbox is checked for it.
If line-in is checked as the recording source, than G

When recordign with for example goldwave it is making a temp file.

this problem show on all cd players of the faulty disk?
Sorry ifi'm just covering old ground or you have done any of this.

I agree. But, unfortunately, there are many online streams I like to listen
to that are only available in Windows Media or Real formats. Of the two, I
think Real is much more reliable, and, when offered only that limited
twosome from which to choose, I always choose Real.

Hi Jerry. Winamp is good! I used to cycle between Winamp, Windows Media,
and Real player, while listening to ACB Radio, but nowadays, I seem to stick
with using Winamp. When people learn how to use it, it's a lot handier than
the other two.

I had a CD that didn't work well, so I ran it under the tap and wiped it with
a paper towel. It worked great after that.
