You can do this with a single instance of Winamp and your mixer that
you currently have. If you have two sound cards, it's easy to
redirect JAWS to the other one--or Winamp, for that matter, whichever
you like. You can add all your songs to the Winamp library and search
it to cue up tracks to
Yep. actually I use the sam encoders and the demo lets me broadcast for up

Hi, all. I've been working on this project for my dad's 80th birthday using
Soundforge 6.0, Jaws and Windows XP. I was using files from various sources
in the project, which is why I guess Soundforge decided to sample it at
22000 mhz (sorry if that's not quite right, but it's close enough.)
Try to save it as WAV and put it onto an audio CD. Then play that CD in a
standalone player.
That will tell you whether you have decent sound.
BTW, the Higher the bit-rate of your original recording, the better the
sound. Most commercial CDs are recorded at 44,000.
It might be something as
Hey Steve,
I find I can get used to Studio 4's mic delay, especially since I have been
able to bring the buffer down from 500 to 300 ms. It really isn't bad,
certainly compared to the functionality you get in their latest version.
I'm a newbie broadcaster, but, man, I'm lovin' this.

What I would like to know is. If you copy a cd with Nero or another burning
program that you use. Okay now does it matter what speed you burn at as
long as it burns successfully? Also if you are copying an audio cd do you
loose any sound quality burning the disk at a faster speed then on a

what these do?
Yes, they flip the sound out of phase.
For example, if you're working in a situation where you want something inverted

we don't lower burn rate unless a cd fails to burn we usually burn at the
maximum speed allowed by our burnner.
the only reason a cd would fail is cause of the buffer time/or if the buffer
is to long in burnning.
that sometimes happens on the kinds of material that is burned to a cd.

I have a bunch of .m4a files that I would like to play in Winamp. I've been
able to play some of them but not all and don't understand why.
How can I make sure that Winamp will play all of them? Do I need a special
plugin? And if so, which one?
I can play all these files just fine in Quicktime
Replay converter will do it. It's not free though.

Hi,
Does someone know of such a program that I could use to extract sound from
AVI and MPEG video files? All the ones I've tried were so inaccessible that
I didn't even have the energy to start playing with them. Are there any

Roxio 5 is reasonably accessible. The menus for selecting songs or
files is a little odd though. There are free scripts at JFWlite.com and
a pretty good tutorial or two.

Gold Wave will also extract audio from AVI files, I'm not sure about the
others.

Hi, Robin and List. Well, I was able to burn the Wav file fine, and it
sounds fine on a stand-alone CD player. Thanks for the idea; I got that
idea, too, as I was eating my lunch! But I'd love to send it as an mp3 file
if possible. Any cluse as to why this wav file turns into a really lousy
I doubt it will do mpeg-2 video, which most of the stuff from TV tuner cards
is as the cards provide hardware acceleration to encode directly to that
format. I really hate Imtoo because I can't shush the progress unless a

I let my trial expire. Now I can't get it back. I want to try this program in
ernest. How can I get it again?

Hi,
digital is not at all like tape dubbing. That way of thinking was
correct for analog but with 0's and 1's if the copy is successful,
you have an exact doop.

I'll leave the next step to the rest of the list. I could only guess that

just sounds compressed, the MP3 bit rate might be too low in WInamp. I
