Actually I don't use it for that purpose so I'm not certain. I'm using it to
record audio from my USB turntable to the PC. I'm also doing some simple
editing with it, though I use DC6 or GoldWave for more complex tasks. My
experience only allows me to say that it is a good free editor and is

Thanks for the help. Since I am new to gold wave, could you tell me how to
get to the effects menu?

In the effects menu, there is a volume pulldown menu. Choose that and you
can make it half it's volume and do what you like with the volume and you
should be able to turn it up.

I am trying to record a four track library of congress book using a four track
player. When I record my selection with gold wave and try to play it back, the
sound is extremely low. I went into controls and set the volume at 100 percent
and the balance at about 50 percent. Oh yes, I am using a p
Hi. I have CDex1.51.
Can I convert a .wav file in to an .mp3 file by using CDex1.51, please?
If yes, how could that be done, please? Step-bystep instructions would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

concerning notification of updates. I'll keep looking. Thanks.

Hello Larry!
Do you need to change any options to audacity so it works better for blind
users?
I haven't figured out how to use the multi track system. Are there any work
arounds or strategies for Audacity for new users?
Thanks in advance.

I would say that it's the best free editor out there. I have several paid
for programs on board, but I still use audacity quite often.

Does anyone know how to get Winamp 5.32 to quit asking us to get the update
to 5.33? It's a nuisance; but I don't really want to take the upgrade. I
can't find where to tell it not to keep bugging me about it.

Wow, that's one heck of a bug list there! And to think I just install
5.32!
What amazes me is how there are bugs that introduce themselves that
were not in previous versions. Or maybe they were but weren't noticed
or nobody had the time to actually fix them until now.

hi Peace,
Well it's almost good enough. :-)
I mean the beta 1.3 has improved accessibility, and if you enter the
preferences and work a little with the keyboard short cuts you can make it
work quite well, for the big zero it costs.
Best regards

Just curious: what do you all think of the Audacity Sound Editor? I'm
working with some blind kids who don't have the money for more expensive
sound editors and just want your all's sage opinion!
