That actually depends on the type of cartridge the turn table uses. There are some p-mounted cartridges where the needle just slides in. Other cartridges I've used the needle pops in. Look at the one you have and see. Or see how the cartridge is removed and take it in with you when yu go

High Robert, You can burn audio CD's in Windows Media Player. It works with both Jaws and Window Eyes. Unless your computer is not a Windows XP computer, then you will have to use Nero or some other CD/DVD burning software to do that. From what I understand about Vista, it can burn audio CD's
