I think the Gsnap is a free VST plug in which can do thesimular thing which
autotune does, I have it, but I have never used it.

I use to have a status line that I could find with my jaws cursor to see how
far along my recording, playing rewind or fast forward has gone. It has
recently disappeared and I am cluless on how to get it back.

tried what I'm going to suggest.
If the program uses the standard menus, look under the View menu, and see if
there's an option for the status bar. Hit ENTER on that, and see if what
you're looking for has come back.

Les, the M-audio cards are good, sound great, but if you are using a
screen reader, the latter versions of their interfaces are a bit
tricky to navigate. The M-audio doesn't utilize the windows mixer,
so you need their control pannel to adjust the card controls. It can
be done with window-eye
