I did try one more thing just a few minutes ago: I went back to "services"
then to "task scheduler" then tabbed to where it says "start the service" (I
thought I had hit the jackpot, for it said "windows is attempting to start
the service." Oh but then a dialog popped up, presenting me with an

here; Phil actually did send me a link to check out (I looked at it) but the
instructions seem to be for sighted computer users; I may have another
Hi Tom and list,
OK about the registers. What Phil has written sounds quite logical so this
isn't working too? If not then it's a real pain but wouldn't you happen to have
another computer or a laptop to try this out on?

I can't locate accessible instructions online for this radio. If anyone has

Well, I'm no DJ, but I recently bought a few laptops for myself and my
sons, and I did notice that the high end laptops are pretty tricked out
with some nice audio enhancements. There's the HP Envy Beets Edition for
example. There are tons of reviews you can get to with Google. The Asus

Hi all,
I'm starting my own dj business and was wanting to use a laptop for my music
instead of a turntable. What kind of laptop would be suitable for this kind of
work? I know I will need lots of gb space for my music, also what price range
would I be looking at?
Thanks.

Hello Christopher: Well as you will see (when the email comes in) I've once
again written to Phil; he basically told me that it's "up to me"; that it's
not a "TR" problem! Am starting to get really frustrated as I'm trying to
"fix it" (as he told me) but I keep hitting "dead ends!" This just
Well I guess ol, Phil can't do much for me either; this is his reply to my
latest email to him!

Hello Tom,
Yeh, that's where I was thinking. Sorry I didn't do a better job of
explaining it, but I'm glad you found it. I'm disappointed it didn't
work. I was thinking I was really on to something. Note that the only
reason I thought of that is because I've made the same mistake myself
once. I turned off som

Hi Chris and others,
Good idea I admit I haven't thought of this. If this doesn't work out try yet
the following steps in the system registries you know through regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Schedule
and here change the start value from 4 to 2.

I haven't been following this thread, and I don't have Windows up and

services you don
Okay; have written again to Tapin Support as I am not giving up on this
thing just yet! Tapin Radio is a fine program and would hate to think that
there is no way that I can accomplish what I want to do, which is to be able
to schedule a recording for times when I'm either asleep or cannot other
Hi Tom,
Thanks much for specifying the situation but considering Phil's knowledge out
of which I have less than one third :-) I guess I'm clueless too and looks like
you're not gonna be able to get this function to work. I'm really sorry.

As promised, I have Phil's message, regarding the scheduler in Tapin Radio.
I did google it (as he suggested I do) but not being a computer geek, wasn't
able to follow all of what Microsoft was trying to tell me!

Just tried the "quick Schedule" thing; no soap (still get the message "the
task scheduler is not in service or it may have said "not running) aside
from that, not sure if I put the amount of time I wanted it to record in
correctly; I think I still have the email I received from Phil, suggesting
Hi,
1. No from what I know TR has absolutely no limitation of amounts of track

Hey Dave and others,
I'm afraid there's no way of doing so for massive stealing huge parts of our

ok. all good to know. Is there a way to copy a station's url to the
