AS someone who has scanned over 500 books for Bookshare, I can tell you that higher resolution can degrade scan quality. It may seem counterintuitive, but it's true nonetheless. For example, the default resolution for K1000 is 300 dots per inch. But you can set it to 400 or 600. The scan
