Just curious: what do you all think of the Audacity Sound Editor? I'm
working with some blind kids who don't have the money for more expensive
sound editors and just want your all's sage opinion!
Peace,
Kathy

I prefer the DC6 restoration offerings for vinyl, such as pop/click and
crackle, as well as some of the noise reduction filters. Also, the

Hello!
I really do like it.
However there are things that must be better.
FOr example the timer feature in the newest version.
It does not work here for me at all.

Under EZ Clean, there are several choices for removing tape hiss. I
generally try the setting labeled aggressive first
Subject: Re: Audacity anyone?
Actually I don't use it for that purpose so I'm not certain. I'm using it
to
record audio from my USB turntable to the PC. I'm also doing some simple
editing with it, though I use DC6 or GoldWave for more complex tasks. My
experience only allows me to say
, as with GoldWave, they specialize in what I need. Just my own
humble oppinion here and nothing more.

I prefer the DC6 restoration offerings for vinyl, such as pop/click and
crackle, as well as some of the noise reduction filters. Also, the program
includes some nice filters for 78s and open reels, both of which I restore
for CD transfer as part of my business

I didn't find the Diamond Cut program to be a very good audio editor at
all! it
was darn good as a restoration program though!

I would say that it's the best free editor out there. I have several paid
for programs on board, but I still use audacity quite often.

Hello Larry!
Do you need to change any options to audacity so it works better for blind
users?
