When I open Winamp, it says
Ctrl-f4 should close the video window. alternatively, hit ctrl-tab until it
just says winamp, go to your winamp subwindow and hit enter when it says
video to uncheck the window. You'll find that the playlist, equaliser,
media library and so on all behave in the same way.

You probably have already thought of this, but alt-V (in Winamp) turns on
the video and turns it off (it's like a toggle) like I said, you probably
have already
