Rather than fiddling around I suggest your first port of call be the Total
Recorder web site, I’m willing to bet that this topic will be covered in one of
the FAQ sheets there.

I assume vox is an driver spisific feature? I ask as I don't see it on
my side. Probibly you use one of the older drivers wich are working
better with xp, so I cannot really comment on that as I'm on windows7
with the latest 8.5 with the curnel filter driver.
