using it with a synthesizer, I wanted to experiemtnt

Hi Bob
From what we can tell, no sound appears to be coming from it, even
when headphones or speakers are plugged into it, that's the root of
the problem. What is interesting about this whole thing is that when

I have wWinamp 5.35 running and all seemed ok. Today, I ran it and it said
update and I could do nothing with it at all. I couldn't tell whether it was
updating or not and tabbing or cursoring gave no information. Using WE 5.5.
Thanks.

Hi. Wow, this really seems to be becoming a problem! I have an idea.
The next time that dialogue pops up, try hitting the key combination
alt n for no. in that dialogue there's a yes button, a no button and
a checkbox to determine wether or not it checks for updates.
I don't know if that'll do
Sounds to me that unless someone needs something specific 5.50 has to
offer, one is best leaving well enough alone and remaining with 5.35.
Good reason to maintain past versions of programs on hand just in case a
newer version causes more problems than benefits.

Hi Albert,
You might also try Foobar2000, www.foobar2000.com. Unlike Winamp, it
has a standard user interface with pulldown menus. You fast forward
and rewind with the cursor keys, pressing them together with the
control key will jump one minute backward or forward. Great program!

I've reinstalled the program, made sure I was in the main window and all
windows were closed and still I can neither fast forward, set time markers
or jump to relative time with any degree of accuracy. Any thoughts? I'm

hi. Sounds like what you folks need to do is *completely* uninstall
Winamp, and make sure all traces of it are off your system and then
re-install it. I have no idea how Winamp 5.35 works under Vista so I
can't speak for that. But it sounds like maybe another skin possibly
the modern one

HI Steve,
I think I told you this the other day, just assign as a custom highlight
colour the text in that dialogue box which is not being spoken by Jaws.

I don't know if this is a JAWS issue or a Winamp issue, but I gotta
start somewhere, so I picked here.
With the introduction of 5.35, I have noticed a difference in the
behavior of the jump-to-time dialog (CTRL/J). Formerly, when pressing
CTRL/J, JAWS would read the dialog just as it always did,
My message relates to winamp 5.35 about audio cd association. I just
installed over the top with no luck.
