I'm using winamp 551 full and I'm having no troubles,
whatsoever. I don't use the library at all so problems there
probably still exist, but for streaming radio, my music, podcasts
that I've downloaded, etc, its been berry berry good to me. Try the

The modern skin has never been good with screen readers. When you've
uninstalled these various versions of winamp, did you remove
everything in the winamp folder under program files? Usually it'll
leave some files behind in there when you uninstall.

Have you tried to use alt+L to open your library? That is how aI always

The best thing you can do for yourself is to dump that latest version,
and go back to 5.08e. Versions subsequent to that one, for the most part,
have their various annoying querks.
