hi kevin, There is software that is offered by the maker of wave pad. It will convert text to MP3, it is called Verbose. I personally don't like it because it doesn't have batch conversion and isn't nearly as fast as kurzweil, but it integrates with all the other programs he offer

I've taken a rather long look at the freeware editor called wave pad from: http://nch.com.au/index.html And I am most impressed. This editor is quite full featured and it will load cd tracks as well as mp3 and wave formats. it may load other formats as well but I can't say for sure.
