Hi,
Happy New Year ! :)
this is my first post to this list and I am also
right at the beginning to explore PureData.
I want to use PureData as a synthesizer for sounds
and I will not use the midi interface, since I have
no keyboard...
I am using a up-to-date Gentoo-Linux with linux

Looks promising. Here is another approach as an 0.43 Tcl plugin. I
couldn't figure out how to do connections, but I didn't try very
hard. Drop this file in the "pd/startup" folder of 0.43, or in the
path.

It's not a solution to your general problem, but I ported several of
Tom Erbe's Soundhack plugins to Pd externs last summer:

Oops, meant to reply to the list.
Also, LADSPA is pretty much just a header that the client app and the plugin
both use, it has Linux in the name but is in no way dependent on Linux. This is
reportedly a working build of a selection of 90 or so LADSPA plugins:

I'd guess so, but I don't use LADSPA.

Pd is a programming environment for writing things like VST plugins,
so I guess most Pd devs would rather write something Pd than use a
VST. But its also free software, so anyone who things VST support
should be better should definitely work on it.
I think LADSPA and other free plugins a
FYI: Paul Stoffregen is working on full Arduino Mega support for
Firmata/Pduino. I know some people onthis list were interested in
that. He's looking for testers now, the code is here:

Once its tested, we'll work on integrating it into the regular Firmata

Somebody with a deep understanding of the subject matter must be saying
that. How should he know otherwise? ;-)

Hello PD users,
I am using PD under windows. I'm new to this list, but I've been dabbling in
max/msp and PD for a while now.
I know there are some options for loading VST plugins in pd. I downloaded
vst~ and I seem to be able to load it into the patcher but I can't find
documentation or a home pa
Hello, this would work on linux:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-increase-the-maximum-number-of-open-files/
does this work on OSX?:
in /System/Library/StartupItems/SystemTuning/SystemTuning
modify following values:
sysctl -w kern.sysv.shmmax
sysctl -w kern.sysv.shmmin
sysctl -w kern.sysv.
Hi, Thanks Georg, Patrick and Brand for your reply.
I'll try this one first : http://grh.mur.at/software/adaptive.html
On my side I've find http://www.rowetel.com/ucasterisk/oslec.html
that give some explantion and also some source code :
http://svn.astfin.org/software/oslec/trunk/spandsp-0.0.3
Thanks, that fixed it.
But I just found a crazy bug:
1) Open one of the help patches (e.g., [float] )
2) Create a link to another help patch: [pddplink send-help.pd]
3) Totally works!
4) Now create [receive pd] or [r pd], then click on the pddplink again.
5) Totally doesn't work, and errors to the
