studying this git code since last week and the last commit was in
May, 7 with the release of 0.42-5 version.
I don't know if Miller is maintaining this code or contributing in
any other place.

I wrote the first article you mention about ptl.
Many things append from 2004 until now:
PTL is now OTL. It's less exerimental and usable (for intance chdh
produce a dvd with it)
You can download it via sourceforge where the project is hosted. I've

Many of you knows that Hans-Christoph Steiner has done an extremely
interesting piece of music using pd's data structure named Solitude.
Maybe some of you don't already know that all the pd patch are
available. On the technical side, it is a unique chance to understand
how to use data-structures.

the fundamental frequency.
You can use the "moses" and "select" objects to make something happend when the
frequency is into a particular range.
I do not know how to simulate a keyboard input.
