To circumvent this, what I often do from the menu is save a preferences file.
First you hook up all your devices and tell pd to use them from the GUI. Then
you “Save To” a specific file. This way, you can use the -prefsfile command
line flag to specify the path to that preferences fil

I have also recently compiled my externals in windows, and I have to say it is
not at all complicated. The two things I used to learn how to do this were the
instructions on how to compile pd in windows (pd's github INSTALL.txt) and the

changes to emulate a click-down, click-up situation... so you'd be tricking a

I find it useful to wrap random in an abstraction, so that I use $2 as an
instance id, to both receive a "seed" and to add the abstraction id to the seed.
But, it would be really useful to have a unique instance id already generated
in the [random] object, and a global symbol to bind all
perhaps a shift+scroll? horizontal scrolling with a mouse wheel works with
shift, at least in macos

I like how pd allows for non-grid-like canvas behavior. Besides, there is a
feature already to Tidy Up things.
If grid-behavior is included, though, I would suggest not to make it a default
behavior, and I would not want cords to be subject to the grid as well.

Below is what I did. My idea was to delay the signal by one sample before going
to sigmund. This is certainly not what is happening, though, but sigmund still
