That's what I said.
What does not work is sending it to a canvas.
That's what I need!

hat's done on purpose.
And if it is on purpose how I could make it work?
I tried C \# or C\# but still get C$.
I can't be the only one having this issue.
How does anyone else do this?

Not really a unicode thing but if I send [C#( to a canvas I get [C$(.
How can I get the # to be displayed in the canvas?
Unicode symbols would be great to have, though.
This would definitely simplify naming pitches / notes.

Thanks, IOhannes!
Those units being treated like hardware synth boxes which have a patch editor
that needs to be set to 1920x1080 to work correctly.
My problem is that neither xrandr nor the /etc/X11/xorg.conf is working on the
older mainboards for some strange reason.

at some graphics drivers are missing but I don't know which
ones.
I might have to check if there are any BIOS settings that keep these boards
from communicating.

everything with the lower "1280x1024" resolution.
It actually doesn't respond to setting it to a lower resolution either . . .
Not sure if I would need different graphic drivers for that.
I'm on Debian-9.5.0-i386.
Thank you!

Howdy all,
I did give up for a while. The
rrors. One little typo and you get
clicks!
Especially this won't work for simply loading new sample into an existing Pd
patch by other users.
I hope Dan didn't give up on ths . . .

Thank you, IOhannes!
I'm still on 0.49 (and cannot update atm for compatibility reasons).
Replacing the underscores with spaces just before sending works fine for what
I need, though!

Thanks Alexandre!
It didn't work before because I used [sprintf %s%s] or [label $1 $2(.
Now I replaced the underscores with spaces right before I'm sending to the
canvas label or [tof/pmenu] and it works perfectly fine.
Ingo

loading it from.
Thanks for helping me to find it!
