Yeah. I need it for libpd as devices can run at differing sample rates and I
don't want to have to hard code that when using samples.
I brought his up as a suggestion a year ago and decided the other night just to
see if I could make it work.

"Use standard extensions"... with the latter unchecked, I learn that you
