could you please try to add to the top-level Makefile.PL an extra line like
this one from PDL::LinearAlgebra:

+ recreate the distribution tarball - it should contain GENERATED subdir
with documentation that should
New version of PDL::Stats (v0.70) just uploaded to CPAN. Contents are per
v0.6.5_2 with trivial tweaks. Any problems, please let me know. Even better,

Yes the problem has been resolved in the dev release
